Resolution passed by the Chamber of Commerce, Dewsbury.
Resolved, That this council expresses its utter abhorrence and detestation of the foul crime which has deprived a kindred nation of its President at such a momentous crisis in its history; and that such expression of the indignation of the council, together with its sympathy, be conveyed to the American consul at Leeds.
