SIR: I have the honor, by direction of the municipal corporation of the city of Hamilton, Canada West, to enclose a copy of resolutions passed by that body on hearing the sad news of the assassination of the late President, Abraham Lincoln, and to respectfully request that you will be pleased to lay the same before the President.
