My Dear Sir;-My Democratic friend, J. D. Vangham Esq., of this city, wants a place in the staff of one of our new Illinois regiments. He is a Kentuckian, a Democrat, but a loyal man and a clever fellow. Will you allow me to entreat you to do for him all you can to forward his wishes.
