At the vestry—present, Mr. Churchwarden Baddely in the chair—

Resolved unanimously, That the vestry of Saint Marylebone, having heard with the profoundest regret of the assassination of the President of the United States, beg respectfully and earnestly to convey, at the earliest possible opportunity, to his excellency the American minister the expression of their horror at the detestable and cowardly crime that has been committed, and their deepest sympathies with the American people and his excellency in the lamentable national catastrophe which has befallen them.
