Sir: By direction of the right worshipful the mayor of Waterford, I have the honor to transmit to your excellency a copy of a resolution unanimously adopted at a meeting of the citizens, in reference to the late melancholy event which unhapply deprived your government of its head.
Permit me, sir, to offer you the assurance of my sincere sympathy and condolence, which I feel in common with all classes of my fellow-citizens.
