To his Excellency Rich Yates Sir

At the last meeting of the Lockport Council U.S. A the following resolution was passed and ordered to be sent to his Excellency Richard Yates Governor of Ill.

Resolved that the thanks of the Lockport Council USA are due and are hereby tendered to our Worthy & Patriotic Governor for the prompt and decisive manner in which he Proroging the Late corrupt copperhead Legislature

And for his noble conduct in looking after the wellfare and comfort of the sick & wounded Soldiers.
