My Dear Gov.

Permit me to congratulate you on your very admirable action in proroguing the General Assembly. You could not possibly have done a better thing.

You have the strong approbation & admiration of all except the Copperheads.

I am getting up a call for a satisfaction meeting here.

You can depend on patriotic old Winnebago.

Accept the high regards & best wishes of in haste

Yours as ever
