Surgeon in Charge U.S. General Hospitals Camp Denison Ohio

Sir,

I am informed that under recent instructions from Washington all sick and wounded soldiers are to be removed to hospitals nearest their respective homes.

I would therefore respectfully request you, to have all Illinois soldiers confined in hospitals at Camp Denison transferred, as soon as possible to this State Please inform me by return of mail what will be necessary for me to do in this matter, if anything

Respectfully returned all Illinois soldiers who were not fit for duty and not members of "Invalid Corps" were transferred to Quincy on the 24th inst. as per request of last note B Clark Surg ast in cge
