I am informed that James St. C. Boal (of Lacon) has been proposed as Prosecuting Atty for 23rd Judicial District
I take the liberty of saying that for more than a year he was in the same law office with me as a partner, that he is a safe careful & reliable lawyer, fully competent for that position & in every respect a genuine gentleman
He is in politics a republican. His politics therefore I of course do not fully endorse
