Governor Yates Dear Sir My regiment will soon be full and I feel much solicitude about their arms. I have noticed the statement in the newspapers in relation to the guns obtained by you at Washington, and I wish to request that the Lincoln Regiment shall be duly remembered in the distribution. I have taken the liberty to telegraph you this morning asking for 200 of the rifles, and I earnestly hope you may be able to accommodate us. Very truly yours Isaac G. Wilson Col. Com'g 52d Ill. Vol.
