Alex. Milne, is the gentleman of whom I spoke to you when last in Springfield He was formerly in Capt. May's Celebrated Dragoons and would make a most valuable officer. I have recommended him to Colonel Cavanaugh, who desires to procure his services, if you will give him some position I trust you will do so
