Herewith I hand you a paper recommending Capt. Hemstreet for the position of Drill Master at the Camp at Chicago. I cheerfully add my testimony to that of the distinguished gentlemen who have signed the document. Knowing him to be superior in the drill and eminently worthy as a gentleman.
