Will you have the kindness to forward Mr. Braidwood, (the Bakers) visit as it respects getting him (By detached Duty) a more eligible appointment in the Commissary or the other Depart't, the circumstance of the 37th Reg't,, (To where he belongs) being an Iowa and not an Ill: one needs only to preclude me from interfearing, He is a very old friend and I will esteem a particular favour and remain
