Sir: I am informed That John Reiser of Co. "H" 40th Regt. Ills Vols. is now in your hospital very sick, and with little prospect of being able to join his regiment again.
Will you please examine him for discharge and if a fit subject have him discharged soon as possible and inform me of action taken
