I cannot reply to your letter without first expressing my regret, that the constitution of Illinois does not admit of a re-election of its Gov.

This Inst. has been prosperous for the past two yrs. Containing sixty-eight pupils _ The Report now in the hands of the printers shows that from the high prices it is out of funds, and our Trustees ask that the appropriation for its use may be increased from twelve to twenty thousand dollars per an.
