Description
In this portrait, Colonel Geza Mihalotzy of the 24th Illinois Infantry is standing in his Union military uniform with an officers belt and a hat. He is holding his sword with his left hand. He was mortally wounded at Buzzard's Roost, Georgia and died two weeks later on March 11, 1864 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he is buried.
