Description
Teachers and students look at a poster in a mine rescue classroom during instruction. Illinois Mine Rescue began when Bill No. 42 was approved in the Illinois Senate on March 4, 1910. The law was written to establish and maintain mine fire fighting and mine rescue stations in coal fields across the state.
