Description
Clifton H. Moore (center) poses for a portrait with his four brothers. Clifton was the first resident lawyer in Clinton. Clifton formed a profitable land speculating partnership with Bloomington Judge David Davis in 1848. Clifton became friends with Abraham Lincoln while Lincoln rode the Eighth Judicial Circuit.
