Hon. A. C. Fuller Adj. Genl

Dear General
Allow me to introduce Mr. Nitchy of Union Co. I have been intimately acquainted with Mr. Nitchy for a number of years. Mr Nitchy formerly was at the head of an Academy in New Jersey, in which two of my sons were placed as students for several months. I know Mr Nitchy well, he is a good english, and german scholar, an excellent man, of good habits, and he exhibits in whatever he undertakes, a very commendable degree of tact and energy. Mr. N. is in needy Circumstances and is very anxious to obtain employment in your office, and I desire to say, that if I have any claims upon you, I would like to press the appointment of Mr N. as a favor to me. It is very desirable I think just, that a German should be appointed in your office and I unhesitatingly recommend Mr. N. to any position you may be kind enough to give to him.
I remain, dear Sir,
Your friend
