A fenced-in monument to Ann Rutledge stands in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
On verso: "Small stone marked Ann Rutledge (foreground) marked original grave in Concord Cemetery, near New Salem. Grave moved to Oakland Cemetery May 15, 1890. The monument in Oakland Cemetery bearing the poem by Edgar Lee Masters was erected Jan. 1921. Paid for by descendants of Menard Co. families who had known Lincoln."
