Dear Sir
The Proprietors, of the Sherman House at Chicago having learned that you were about visiting Chicago have desired me to communicate to you their desire that in such Event they are desirous to render to yourself and Party the Hospitalities of their House -- and that in the Event of your acceptance you will indicate to them by Telegraph the number of your party
I take great pleasure in Recommending to your Excellency the Sherman House, as being in my Judgement inferior to None in the United States.
