Description
Photo caption: "Every railroad had its engineering masterpiece and C&IM was no exception. Here we see the famous Horse Creek trestle at Pawnee, with 2-8-0 #3 and crew in a classic pose. Built in 1906, the 780 foot bridge represented a major project for equipment of the day. Picture taken about 1910, and is the only known photo of engine 3 which was sold to an unknown buyer in 1920."
