Dear Sir:

I have been intimately accquainted with Mr. Wm. C. Brown for the past ten years, and have found him to be worthy in all respects of the utmost esteem and confidence. For general soundness of judgement, self-control, pure honesty of heart and purpose, and freedom from all bad habits, he has not his peer among all the many young men of my acquaintance. Should he succeed in getting any position to which he may aspire, his employer will desserve as hearty congratulation: as will the employee.
