Gov Yates,

Dr Sir I hope I am not asking too much of your time in requesting you to inform me (if you know) who will probably have the appointing of the Deputy in the county of the state.

I am anxious to obtain the above information knowing that an application amounts to but little unless prudently and faithfully followed up.

Truly Your friend

Horace Bancroft
