Yours of the 28th directed to Aurora, was forwarded & received by me this morning. Without any Consultation with Mr. Allen, I cannot but believe that from our intimate associations he will be influenced by my wishes,

that I am for you first last & all the time, you must know, without any assurance, I will see Mr Allen in the course of the week, and make it a certainty. I wrote you this morning upon another matter, which I presume you will receive one day ahead of this.

Any thing that I can do to further your wishes in this matter will be done most cheerfully.
