Dear Sir
I returned home on Saturday, and had an interview with Mr Allen, and he pledged himself to me that he would do in the matter as I wished. I will come to Springfield on Wednesday and will then explain to you what I have done, and will endeavor to favor your interests in any manner that you may wish.
