Dear Yates

Yours of the 21st was duly recd I shall be up to see you the last of this week or the first of next at the furthest I saw Abner at Jacksonville requested him to see if you & me had got Deeds for our partnership lands that we had paid for also told him to examine the date of your & John Mathers Deed from Nult I think you got yours in time he failed to record his deed to me for his interest & mine untill I have entierally lost my interest in the 160 Acre

that we had adjoining Mason City I had bought Nults 40 & he deeded me mine & his at the same time & promised to put the deed on record but failed to do so in time [dam?] such carelessness I told Abner how I wished some of the funds applyed that I had of yours as he would have a chance to more fully explain but I see that I wasn't rong in asking so far as the Julia Duncan debt is concerned as it is provided for in assets of the R. that are in Beekmans hands I had forgotten how it was situated untill Berdan showed me today

I am trying to buy off with T. B. Hall I shall go to see him tomorrow cant tell as yet how we will come out with him yet yrs truly W. G. Greene
