Mr Wm R. Steele. Editor of a good Republican Paper, at Wilmington, Will Co. is an applicant for the Appointment of "Collector of Taxes for the 6th District. - Mr Steele finds it difficult to sustain himself, and it is necessary for the welfare of our party that his paper should be sustained, - and I heartily recommend this appointment to your favorable consideration, he comes to me well recommended as Honest, Capable, & well qualified for this position, his appointment would give great Satisfaction in that part of the state & be the means of strengthening our party organization: -
