We the undersigned Officers in Camp at this place, having been formally acquainted with Clement F. Hinman formerly of this County previous to his entering the U S Service, and having examined testimonials respecting him since he has been in the Army, from what knowledge we have of him, would most cheerfully endorse what is said of him by his Commanding officers and recommend him to your favorable consideration in appointment to some position, that would enable him to be transferred to the Illinois service
