Sir; I am now offord a position as 1st Lieut in the 29th Mo. Vol. Regiment: what plan shall I adopt to get released from the 15th. Illinois Volunteer Regiment, Company D.; from which Company and Regiment I was detached ten months ago by order of Brig-Gen'l Hunter. Please inform me.
