I regret that the severe pressure of business has prevented more prompt reply to yours of Aug. 23. - I fully approve of suggestions of your letter -- the design, the work, painting, price &c all suit me. I sent Miss Tucker two likenesses -neither of them I suppose very flattering but pretty good likenesses especially the larger size. Enclosed is also one or two Cards, not very sharp pictures but likeness good.
Hope you will soon have flag done - consult with Miss Tucker as to any motto &c - I will remit charges at any time.
