Nathaniel Shentleff the bearer is now on his way to Nashville and Murfreesboro for the purpose of rendering aid & comfort to John H Quinn, of the 88th Ill Vol. who was seriously wounded at Murfreesboro on the 31st Dec. Can you give Mr Shentleff a pass or recommendation that will insure his transit to those places Mr Quinn went from Woodford Co. & his brother & friends here send Mr. Shentleff on this errand of mercy. Hoping that you can do all that he may require
