Know all men by these presents that We Isaac Linkhorn and Vallentine Lewis of Washington County and State of North Carolina Are held and firmly Bound unto Stephen Hughes late of the same place in the full and just sum of Nine Hundred and sixty pounds corent money of this state to which payment well and truly to be made we Bind our Selves our Heirs Executors or Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents exacted with our Seals & Dated this 8th day of November 1780.
The condition of the above Above Obligation is such that whereas the above Bounden Isaac Linkhorn haith the Day of the date of these presents mayed an attachment and haith obtained the same from Thomas Houghton one of the justices of peace for the county aforesaid against the Estate of the above Named Stephen Hughes for the sum of four Hundred and Eighty pounds corent Money of this state. Returnable before the Justices of our next court of pliens and quarter Sessions to be held for the county aforesaid on the fourth Munday in this presents November, at the court House thereof. Now if the said Isaac Linkhorn, Shall prosecute his said Suit with Effect or In case he shall be cast therein Shall well and truly pay and Satisfy to the sd Stephen Hughes all such costs and Damages as Linkhorn by suit or otherwise for the Rong full Suing out such Attachment, that then the above Obligation is to be void and otherwise so remains in full force and power.
