Know all Men by these Presents, That we, Marvellous Eastham S A Douglass, John Taylor & are held and firmly bound unto the County Commissioners of Sangamon County, and their successors in office, in the full sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the use of the people of the State of Illinois. - To which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents
Sealed with our seals, and dated this day of 183 .
THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas the said Marvellous Eastham was, on the 12th day of February 1838, in the Springfield district in Sangamon County, elected a Justice of the Peace for said county. Now if the said Marvellous Eastham shall justly and fairly account for and pay over all moneys that may come to his hands under any Judgement or otherwise, by virtue of his said office: and that he will well and truly perform all and every act and duty enjoined on him by the laws of this State to the best of his skills and abilities - Then this obligation to be void and of none effect, otherwise to remain in full force:
