To the Honorable the Judge of

the County Court of Sangamon

County Septr Term AD 1853

Your Petitioner Alonzo Halcomb would most respectfully represent that William B Taylor of Sangamon County departed this life on or about the first day of June AD 1851. And that subsequently your Petitioner took out letters of administration in his said Estate - that said letters bear date about November AD 1851 a copy of which is herewith filed marked (A) and prayed to be taken as part of the petition. Your Petitioner would further show said William B. Taylor died much in debt and that all his [said?] goods and chattels and personal property have been duly sold to pay the debts of the Estate, and that the same and all the proceeds have been duly and legally exhausted to pay debts and claims according to law - that the deficiency is $ will be fully seen by Exhibit (B) herewith filed and prayed to be taken as part of this Petition - said abstract is duly made out and by proper officer in and for proper county

Your Petitioner would show that said Wm. B. Taylor died [illegible] of the following lands lying and being situate in Sangamon County and known and designated as follows To Wit North half of East half of SE 1/4 Section 7. Town 16. N R 6 west 3d pr


meridian. Your Petitioner therefore prays that your Honoralll will decree that said lands be sold to pay the debts of said Taylor or so much thereof as will be sufficient to pay off said claims amounting to $ and costs and for the further aid and assistance of the court in the [premises?] in pursuance to the laws of this State.

Your Petitioner prays that the children widow & Heirs at law of said Taylor, Beulah Taylor, John L. Taylor Beulah A Taylor, Roxanna B Taylor, Mariah V Taylor, Josephine B. Taylor, William B. Taylor, Abagail Taylor & Zachary Taylor be made defendants to this Petition and that a guardian ad litem be appointed for them, they being minors and that the Peoples writ of Subpoena issued for them directed &c commanding &C [illegible] &C and that said defendants answer this Petition and show cause why the prayer of this Petitioner should not be granted and granted your Petitioner will ever pray
