And the said defendant by Leonard Swett his Attorney, comes and defends the wrong and injury when &c. And Says he did not undertake and promise in manner and form as the said plaintiff hath above thereof complained against him. and of this he puts himself upon the Country

The plantiff in above cause will also take notice that Defendant will prove upon [illegible] of this cause that he has sawed lumber for plantiff and upon his order to the amount of sixty dollars and by the terms of a contract made with defendant he is upon said contract for sawing lumber & what he has done entitled to a credit of $100
