My dear G.

I am sorry we cannot call this evening - 'Little B.' is as ill (e'en a'most) as [thou art?], and I'm out o' sorts too, but Mollie says she will be down to bid Mrs Graham good-bye in the morning I have just recd one of the 'Birth-day [illegible]' by post, so I s'pose we had better cling to first principles & go - if I am [illegible]

I also have been honored by a letter in German from our friend K., who found a photograph of 'Big B.' after we left him today - which he enclosed to me, but 'tis not a good one.

Be a good boy - put your feet in hot water & take

an 'ot whisky punch, as we say in 'Munchen', and you'll be O.K. in the morning. -

[Train?] made a bully speech the other night - I'll let you see it - full of pluck, and almost as funny as we are over our Port &

[Larboard?] wines.

I may have to leave town in a few days for Liverpool - but of that anon. Pardon me for [tiring?] you so long - for well I know you are compelled to blow your nose every five seconds; but 'sich is life' with a cold in the head, so, Oh, Reservoir - as we sang at Strasbourg, and present our compliments to the ladies.

Yours in [illegible]
