Dear Isabel

Have you

forgotten me so soon,

I hope not. Yet why not

write me. But perhaps

you have already done so

and it has not been for-

warded to me. If so it is

safe. God bless you dear friend

Do not forget me. And excuse

my foolish letters. You know

you promised to teach me

how to write. I have been

here over a week now. And

may be here a week longer

I then go to New York again.

This is a great country,

everything is Oil and

snakes. I returned just Sunday

from a two days walk-through

the mountains - of over 48

miles and am still quite

used up. God bless you

Do you think of me sometimes

do, if only for a moment.

I should hate to be forgotten

so soon. God bless you even

Your friend

J.W.B.
