For Electors of President and Vice President of the United States of America, given in the State of Illinois, at an election held in said State on Tuesday, the eighth day of November, Anno Domini, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty=four, as appears from the returns on file in the office of the Secretary of State.

John Dougherty received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and five votes.

Francis A. Hoffman received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and three votes.

Benjamin M. Prentiss received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and six votes.

John V. Farwell received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and seventeen votes.

Anson S. Miller received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and eighteen votes.

John V. Eustace received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and five votes.

James S. Poage received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and eighteen votes.

John I. Bennett received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and nineteen votes.

William T. Hopkins received one hundred and eighty-nine thousand five hundred and seventeen votes.

We the undersigned do hereby certify that we have this day opened and canvassed the returns made by the several County Clerks of this State, of the vote given in their respective Counties for Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, at an election held in said several Counties, for Presidential Electors, on Tuesday, the eighth day of November, A. D. 1864; and that the foregoing is a true and correct abstract of the same; and we do hereby declare that John Dougherty, Francis A. Hoffman and Benjamin M. Prentiss are elected Electors at large, and that John V. Farwell, Anson S. Miller, John V. Eustace, James S. Poage, John I. Bennett, William T. Hopkins, Franklin Blades, J. C. Conkling, William Walker, Thomas W. Harris, N. M. McCurdy, Henry S. Baker and Z. S. Clifford are elected District Electors; they having received a greater number of votes than any other persons who were voted for as Electors at said election. All of which is done in the presence of the Governor.
