I have been a long time before writing to you, I received your letter last week. your letters are always welcome to me. but when you are engaged with your studies, I know you have not the time to write many letters. I wonder if Marie is in Philadelphia yet? she told me to write to her there, in the last letter I received from her, its cold here at the Branch but not Unpleasant. The weather is clear & Sun Shine
so that I walk out on the Piazza every day. Uncle Joseph finds plenty to do here we have a large Garden to look after & he has been very busy making a Fence, to keep out Stray cattle, & he has to walk to the village Post Office 2 or 3 times a week. I expect we shall stay here all the winter, unless it becomes very cold, all the cottages are Shut up and boarded---it looks quite deserted---and on a dark night it looks very miserable. I have not heard from Aunt Asia for a long time. Aunt Rose & Uncle Joe send lots of love with mine. Bless You darling. ever Your
