My dear Mis Booth

I am a stranger to you but have just heard from mutual friends that you are to marry an old friend of mine-I have not had the pleasure of seeing Mr Grossman since my return from Europe-but having known him well for several years, will you allow me to congratulate

you, and wish you all the happiness and sunshine that two such people as yourselves deserve. Please give my best and heartiest wishes to your future husband, and some time in the future I hope I may be able to say to you all the [nice?] things I know of him-as an old friend of his, and to you as a friend of my sister Mrs [Lillie?] may I say God speed you on your new journey in life-

Sincerey yours

Janet Edmondson Walker
