Dear Brother after my Best Respects you I can Inform youthat we are all well Except my Self and I am on the mend the connection is all well So far as I no I hope when you Receive this letter it it will find you better if not well I have ben writing to you for Some time but Received nothing yet I want you to write to me Evry week and let my no where to write to I am going to Iway to make a Crop I would like to have you a long I got tierd of the war and I come off home I have ben at home a bout a month and I have not ben bothered
this Country is full of deserters they are coming home evy day they Say if any body comes here to hunt them they will meet bad weather they Say there another call for Six Hundred thousand mor men to be RaySed by draft the people here is prepairing there Selves to Resent it they say thay will die be fore they will be drafted Iowa is about to Join the South I want you to write to me and let me know what you are going to do don't under take anything that you cant get thru with if you want any help or money you must let us no
