I am discharged from the Military service, after 19 months time spent in service, at Bowling Green Ky. by Brigadier General M. D. Manson on Surgeons Certificate by reason of Disability - fracture of the right kneepan - contracted in service the 8 day of September 1862. I hav no home and am without occupation at present and wish You will be so kind and give to me any situation in any service of Your State, be it in a military or civil circle. I was Artillery Officer by the first Army Corps of the Prussian Army 14 years long. I remark that I am at present no more able to take the field but to do garrison duty

Know ye, that Julius Klingsohr, a Private of Company K/24th Regiment of Ill. Vol. Inf. who was enrolled on the Eighth day of July one thousand eight hundred and sixty one to serve three years, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States this sixth day of January 1863, at Bowling Green Kentucky by reason of Surgeons Certificate of Disability. Said Julius Klingsohr was born in Prussia is 38 years of age, 5 feet 7 1/2 inches high, Light complexion, grey eyes, Light hair and by occupation when enrolled a Teacher.

Given at Bowling Green Kentucky this sixth day of January 1863.
