I take pleasure in reccomending to your consideration the communication of C B Miner Esq as he is one of our best Citizens & worthy of attention
Also Selden Miner his son I am well acquainted with & know that when he enlisted he had been a practicing Physician in our community for several years & highly esteemed as such - and his case as Mr Miner has stated we think is entitled to immediate attention & hope you may assist him in obtaining that relief he asks.
I would recomend that Selden Miner be permited to appear before the examing board of Phisicians for the purpose of entering the Service as assistant Surgeon

discharge or may be restored to position and duty. He is reported on the Books of the reg - as mustered out of service - but was not.He has been doing duty but receiving no pay.
