Governer Yates sir

I beg leaf to address you and to ask a favor I am a Sholdiers wife my husband is in the 94th and his sick near Rolla and I want to go and see him and I have not the money and I thought you would grant me a pass if I stated my case to you as you care well for our Ill soldiers I thought perhaps you would help me as my two Brothers and husband and fathers are all soldiers of Illinois
