Dear Sir I address a few lines of inquiry to you in order to assertain whethur my services as a Saddle & Harness maker, would be acceptible in the Volinteer forces now collecting at Springfield. If not can I get a place in the State - Armory? My Mechanical skill extends to the manufacture of all kinds of Saddles Harnesses and all Kinds of Milatary accouterments & if my services are needed by the State, or by the United States I am ready to obey the cal.

If not in the above capacity, then I will shoulder musket & go as best I can. We will compleat the enrollment of 100 men today.

If my services are needed as above, I will obey any call by letter or Telegram Instan
