Gov Yats sir I hear in requist a favor of you as a friend and as a gov of grate influence with the war department it is to get you to intersead in behalf of one of my suns that is in the arma he is of a weak constitusion having a hart disease with other debilitas he has not bean abel for duty since June last he was on the gunboat Lafyett when she run the blockade at vixburg and was sick all the time she lay in red river he has bean in the camp hospital ever since the reagment went to bridgport alabamma if you will use your influince you will oblige me I had five suns and a suninlaw went in to the arma one sun was kild suninlaw died and this sun if kept thare
