To the Hon R. Yats Gov of Ills I hav taken my seat to right you a few lines In which I shal ask a favor of you but I will first tell you my Situation I am at the Hospital in Quincy and my Doctor tells me that I will never be fit for field Servis a gan So I thout that I would aske a favor of you for a situation at sum Post in sum Comasary Dep or Sum wher elce that I may serve my Countery The best I can for I am giting tiraed of staing in the Hospital I hav bin in the Hospital since the 20 of July
I am a member of Co A 107 regment Ill. vol for [illegible] or [abilatas?] in [illegible] of Carl Kelly or Captin T.J. Millholan of my Co or Surgent Levi [Blonkman?] in this Cyty So I will close by asken you to ansur if you think worth and grant me my request if in your power.
