I had the honor of receiving your reply to my communication and with all due respect I beg to day that I made all enquiries about who had the appointment of Farriers in this case particularly you have There are now several horses belonging to the government at Cairo where there are so many horses there is always the services of a Farrier needed As a further guarrantee to you as to my capability in the treatment of diseases of the horse I enclose you the name of Captain Southwick formerly of Stannton and Mr Brigham of Springfield with the names of others whom I have done bussiness for all being friends of yours so I expect you will use your

prerogative in my behalf
