I am informed that Wm H Jordan of Co "B" 116th. Regt Ills Vols. is now confined in your hospital so afflicted that he will not be able to join his regiment soon and if allowed a furlough he can, by his friends at home be more carefully attended to. I therefore earnestly request that you grant him a furlough and report to me action taken.
